GRIMES COUNTY - A private helicopter carry two people made a hard landing in Grimes County injuring both.
It happened near Country Road 157 in Iola around 5:30pm Saturday.
Grimes County Deputy Van Snook says the two men onboard were reportedly hog hunting as part of a reality show when the crash occurred.
Both men were transported to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. One man was airlifted with leg injuries. Another man was sent by ambulance with minor injuries. Both are in stable condition and expected to survive. Two passengers on board a second chopper at the scene were not injured and landed their plane safely.
The helicopter involved was a Robinson R-44 owned by Perfect Filler LLC out of Magnolia.
Troopers tell News 3 the FAA will be at the crash scene Sunday morning to start their investigation. No word as to why the chopper went down.
