Angola: Over Seven Thousand Accidents Reported in Six Months in Country

Luanda — At least 7, 688 accidents that resulted in 1, 967 dead and 448 serious and light injuries were reported in the first half (January to June) this year, said Traffic Police.

In the first half of 2014, the Traffic Police recorded 8, 286 accidents that caused 1,985 dead and 8,082 wounded, added a note from National Department of Road Traffic (DNVT) that reached Angop Tuesday.

 

According to the source, the running over is accounted for more than two percent of the cases, in which the most victims are people ranging from 15 to 35 years of age.
