One driver was hurt and another may be facing charges following to semi rollovers in two days in Hamlin County.
According to the Hamlin County Sheriff's Office, the first accident happened Tuesday afternoon about a mile southeast of Hayti. It took emergency crews about four hours to clear the semi from the scene. The driver was not hurt, but authorities say charges are pending.
The second rollover happened Wednesday afternoon on SD Highway 22 about a mile east of Thomas. Deputies say the driver lost control, rolled, and ended up partly in a nearby lake.
The driver in the second crash was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. It took crews about four hours to remove the semi from the scene; part of Highway 22 was temporarily shut down during the clean up.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating both accidents.
