The lady, Casey Thibodeaux, of Orangefield, is in critical condition, Sheriff Mitchell Newman said. 

One of the kids in the watercraft was Cross' and the other was Thibodeaux's, Woods said.

Unique story: Game superintendents with Texas Parks and Wildlife are examining a lethal pontoon crash that happened late Tuesday night on Lake Sam Rayburn, as indicated by a representative from TPWD. 

A dispatcher with the Jasper County Sheriff's Office said that four individuals were on the vessel - a man, a lady and two youngsters - when it slammed around 10:21 p.m. 

The man, who was working the watercraft, was declared dead the previous evening. The lady was flown by helicopter to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. The two youngsters, ages 11 and 9, were additionally transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital and their wounds are being dealt with, TPWD representative Josh Havens said. 

The 24-foot cove watercraft slammed into a little island in Lake Sam Rayburn south of the Twin Dikes Boat Ramp, Havens said. The watercraft was the stand out included in the mischance.
