A FARMER has passed on in a tractor mishap in the Barossa Valley at the beginning of today. 

Emergency services were called to a farming property in Greenock, just before 9.30am.

The 62-year-old Greenock man passed on at the scene. 

No points of interest on how the mischance happened have been discharged. 

SafeWork SA is examining the episode and police are setting up a report for the Coroner. 

It's comprehended the man was a long-term dairy rancher and Country Fire Service volunteer who was very much cherished in the Greenock people group.
