Construction worker died in accident on Highway 61 near Blue Grass

UPDATE: Highway 61 is currently open for go in both headings. Police have not discharged the names of the 2 survivors of the accident. 

UPDATE: Scott County Sheriff Conard lets us know a development specialist was hit and killed in the mischance that happened Thursday morning on Highway 61 close Blue Grass. 

As per Conard, Muscatine County got a report around a vehicle moving at a high rate of rate eastward on Highway 61. A Scott County Sheriff Deputy was driving westward on Highway 61 toward Blue Grass and saw the vehicle going in the other heading.

The agent began to pivot. Now, the vehicle being referred to was entering a development zone and hit and slaughtered a laborer. 

The driver of the vehicle then lost control and wound up at the side of Coon Hunter's street and Highway 61. The driver and newborn child traveler were both taken to the doctor's facility. There is no word on wounds. 

The personality of the development work has not been discharged as of now. 

SCOTT COUNTY, Iowa (KWQC) – Sheriffs appointees were called to the scene of a mishap at Coon Hunter's Road and Highway 61 close Blue Grass, Iowa. The mischance happened around 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 1, 2016. 

Teams on scene let us know there was street development going ahead at the scene of the mishap. 

Authorities with the Iowa State Patrol let us know eastward Highway 61 will be shut for an undetermined measure of time while teams work to clear the scene.
