Flash flood warnings were issued for parts of Ventura County Thursday as possible thunderstorms moved through the region, according to the National Weather Service in Oxnard.
A flash flood watch was issued for the mountain areas until 8 p.m., the weather service said. Some storms could bring two inches of rain per hour, the agency said.
There was a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms in the Conejo Valley, Simi Valley, Santa Paula, Fillmore and Ojai areas Thursday night, the weather service said.
Warnings were issued for northeastern Ventura County near Lockwood Valley and the northern region of central Ventura County but they had expired by 6 p.m.
